Debby Moxon
Debby has been working in titanium for 25 years and her unique techniques of heat-colouring have developed over time through seeking different ways of texturing and interfering with the surface of this unusual metal.
Recent work is inspired by several trips to Jyvaskyla, Central Finland, (as part of an Art Connections artist residency) where she explored colour and form through drawing and painting. Resulting pieces feature a ‘weaving’ of texture and colour in titanium. Alongside the titanium pieces are unusual opals set in 18ct gold and matt silver, coloured sapphires, faceted semi precious beads, and rings.
