The House by the Steps

Lucy Burley trained in ceramics at Wimbledon and Camberwell art schools, graduating in 1996.  In her work - wheel-thrown vessels, using white earthenware - she explores the relationship between form and colour; her inspiration comes partly from the still-life paintings of Morandi, and the colours in nature: flowers, trees, fruit, the sea and sky, birds’ eggs, and precious stones”.
